The Great Great Pines: Biography

The Great Great Pines are a new folk duet from the heart of the Knoxville folk-Americana revival. We like harmonizing over simple guitar riffs, ukulele strums, and bluegrass-ish banjo licks. On stage, we build musical bridges between our old-fashioned country roots and our love of modern-day classics; we take listeners on a floaty mountain train ride into the hills before dropping them off for a cool drink at the bar. Cuz that's just how we roll.

Our original songs (and forthcoming cd release) delves into a celebration of both sides of the human existence: the moments that break your heart into twelve shiny pieces, the moments that you want to remember with wispy gray hairs on your head. Everything is a dichotomy in this band, and it all starts with a duet. And they're a right cute duet, at that.
