We encourage everyone to come support Beardsley Community Farms by attending the 3rd annual Snow Day at Barley's in the Old City on January 21, 2011! CAC Beardsley Community Farm is Knoxville’s only urban demonstration farm helping to get fresh, healthy, local food to Knoxville's under-served communities. Snow Day will feature seven local bands, a soup contest between some of Knoxville’s finest restaurants, an inaugural Beard Pageant (open to both men and women), and a silent auction.

The Pines have been busy little bees lately. First, we have a great great show coming up at Barley's in the Old City on November 28. That's a Sunday, so the show starts an hour earlier at 8pm. We'll have our friends Mark and Kami from Archaic Smile sitting in with us for a song, and we'll also have our friend Pierce on drums throughout the night. Show is free, and there's always a great great drink special on tap at Barley's.

We are super proud to be playing at Rocktoberfest 2010 way up in the Red River Gorge (yay for Kentucky!) Rocktoberfest 2010 takes place October 8-10 (we'll be playing on Oct 9 evening.) We're happy to be headed back to Kentucky for a spell, and want to say thanks to the Rocktoberfest peeps for having us over.
